At TEDxAlvaPark, we will bring together entrepreneurs, innovators, professors, clinicians and story tellers from a variety of industries as we explore the power of ideas and their potential to change how we live, work and play.
The theme of TEDxAlvaPark is The Embrace of Failure. The event will maintain the spirit of TED itself and will be cross-disciplinary, focused on the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAlvaPark, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAlvaPark event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
